Dear Nomads,

Our 11-a-side season begins & we’re kicking things off with a ALL NOMADS 11-a-side friendly.

It also doubles up as a warm-up game for the 11’s tourney we’re participating in, 2 weeks later.

We’ve played on this pitch before (Feb 2019 against a Swiss team), but for anyone that hasn’t been, it’s the “National Football Base” for the Bulgarian FA & it’s a proper nice location – Good pitch surrounded by the mountains & a fancy hotel-bar for post-match drinks. It’s roughly located at the “Bulgaria Boulevard” – “Ring Road” junction.

We need at least 22 players but before you sign-up, please take a moment to think about whether you really intend on playing or not – we can’t be having our usual “drop-out rates” for this game – approach it more like one of our tourneys 🙂

EVENT DETAILS:

DATE: Saturday, 15th May 2021

TIME: 12:30 – 16:00/17:00 (including post-match drinks).

COST: BGN 10 per player. Club will cover the additional match costs.

SQUAD SIZE: 22-30 players (11-15 per team). After that our normal “Subs” rule applies.

BOOKINGS: Membership Priority applies.

CANCELLATION DEADLINE: 23:00 (11pm) on Thursday, 13th May 2021

PITCH: Astroturf surface (not real grass so no need for studs)

MATCH OFFICIALS: 1 ref + 2 assistant refs (TBC).

POST-MATCH DRINKS: Club will get each player a beer after the game.

TEAMS: Blues vs Whites – TBA the day before the match.

As always, there will be a competitive element to the game, but the main focus is on having a great time, both on & off the pitch!.. Limited spaces for what’s expected to be a very popular event, so get yourself signed up & stick it in your diary! 🙂

  3. Teams will be posted a little later, but if all players could bring both a white shirt & a blue shirt that’d be great!.. Also, if you happen to own one of the existing blue nomads kit from previous years, bring that as your blue option pls. Thanks! 🙂
